Verify the pressure gauge is in the green zone. Check the weight to confirm full charge.
Verify date of last service and age of fire extinguisher. Replace when necessary or required by code.
Affix an updated, signed, and dated annual maintenance tag on fire extinguisher. A summary of services performed and any recommendations will be provided upon completion and accessible through the customer portal.
Meticulous battery testing is performed to confirm continuous emergency light illumination, ensuring safer evacuations and streamlined compliance.
Inspect the unit lenses for any visible damage, cracks, corrosion, excessive dirt, or signs of tempering.
Push the test button momentarily to disrupt the main circuit to simulate a power outage for 30 seconds.
Disconnect power to emergency light and ensure that the battery will last 90 minutes. During the test, verify an average brightness of 1 foot-candle along the egress path. If the lights dim significantly or fail before 90 minutes, the battery or unit must be replaced or repaired.
